Way back in 2007, I made Sax on the Beach, a mix dedicated to the surprising appearance of saxophone in contemporary music. Then, Volume II came along shortly thereafter and it wasn't quite as full of surprising appearances as much as it was full of expected, but no less enjoyable, horn blowing.
Now, six years later, I've put together Volume III. Personally, I think it's a healthy balance of the expected and unexpected. I don't think you can ever have too much sax and I am confident there will be a Volume IV in the future. Every baby needs a sibling, right?
