I've had the idea to do this mix for a long time.. a CD of covers paired with their originals so that it creates an audible palindrome. A good idea? Maybe. A good listening experience? That's for you to decide.
You may argue that I didn't pick the best covers out there, and that may be true, but the criteria (for me) was that I had to enjoy both the redux'ed version and the original. So while there are a lot of great revamps out there, the originals aren't always so hot.
Not to be long winded but two important things here: 1) You have to listen to this in order. No shuffle/random! 2) I apologize in advance for the two My Bloody Valentine covers - too good.
