The choice to make a mix of instrumental tracks from typically non-instrumental bands seemed fairly easy at first. Upon further investigation I found myself repeating several artists from past mixes (some as recent as last month). This is unfortunate but pulling from a limited pool of songs creates such an inevitable situation. On the whole I think it's a successful mix - very few vocals (samples don't count) and when they do show up they are typically pretty ambient.. except for the Quasimoto track, I just couldn't resist putting that one on there.
In the end, this mix may not introduce you to a wide variety of new artists but rather expose another side to already established artists. Next month I've already got some real gems lined up, hopefully this will tide you over.
