Have you heard the Beauty Pill album
The Unsustainable Lifestyle? It's one of those records that creates an instant connection with anyone else you encounter that is familiar with it. If they know it, they also likely know Smart Went Crazy, Faraquet, Medications, Mary Timony, Helium, etc. etc. Also, it's a great record. But I digress...
It turns out that the band has come back together for the first time since 2007 to record a new album. The
Immersive Ideal was recorded over two weeks in a public arts center and acted as a voyeuristic exhibit for anyone to come and watch the band as they created the album.
This article has more details on the process but I'm just blown away by the
actual music that's come from the sessions and can't wait to hear them in their final form.
