The New Yewknee
posted September 13, 2012 #
So, if all went as planned, you should be seeing a freshly redesigned version of yewknee (those of you reading from the RSS, please check it out). I promised myself I would have it done before I departed for XOXO and I'm on my way out the door. Is the site 100% complete? No way. Is it a vast improvement over the prior design that had been in place since 2007? Yes, I believe so. I'd rather go ahead and "ship" this rather than try to tie up all the loose ends.
Please note the addition of, for lack of a better name, the Syndicated Feed in the right hand sidebar. It's a combination of links from Twitter, Delicious, Vimeo, Youtube and, eventually, more. It was inspired by the likes of Andy Baio, Robbie Player and Stellar. It will allow me to be adding new content to the site throughout the day - even if I'm not actively blogging (or if I'm out of town).
There are, undoubtedly, bugs present in this design but I wanted to go ahead and get it out there rather than try to perfect every single little thing. The rough spots will be smoothed as we move forward. I hope you like it. I'm proud to finally have something new for you.
