On March 21, 1947 the NYC 122nd Police Precinct received an anonymous tip that there was a dead body inside of 2078 Fifth Avenue; the home of Homer and Langley Collyer. Upon investigation the police were met with 140 tons of trash blocking their way in. Over the course of their quest to find this body a group of 600 people gathered outside the home to watch the spectacle; ultimately ending in the discovery of Langley Collyer's body - a casualty of one of his own booby traps. The next question was, where was his brother?
