yk 022: Uncle Skeleton

2013 Year In Review
Without consciously attempting to, the latest release from Uncle Skeleton is his most cohesively realized creation to date. Too Young, Too Old continues in the same lineage as the previous records but much more confidently embraces the stylistic movements across the album. The upbeat summer jams, the bossa nova inspired pop songs and the ambient decompositions in the back half are executed with a confident precision.
Fun fact: the limited edition vinyl comes in clear gold but we also printed up versions in Clear Translucent and Primary Red. That's right, three limited edition colors are floating around out there!

As the days grow longer and brighter I am convinced everyone will fall more in love with this album. I'm indebted to Jason Severs for the photo of his painting that adorns the album - after some wheel spinning on the cover art, this really is the perfect fit. Moreso, I'm indebted to Ross for allowing me to put this record out and be a part of the growth of such wonderful music.
