WOTT 129: Crispy Bois With Cold Lunch Recordings
posted January 28, 2019 #
I've been pushing myself this year to release a new episode of We Own This Town Music every week. It's a bit daunting but it forces me to do more than just scour for new music. One thing I've been wanting to do forever is interview local Nashville labels, event promoters and other entities of the "scene" to get more insight on their individual stories.
So, with that in mind, I sat down with Cold Lunch Recordings - label and promoter that has been doing some really wonderful things over the past few years. Aside from putting out tons of great music, they've also been putting on bigger, experiential, shows like Spew Fest, Taco-Rama, Discovery Fest, Bob Fest and tons more.
The conversation is embedded above. I suggest you give it a listen to learn about their history but, on the whole, I suggest you give them a deep dive with the music they've been releasing. Try this one out and if you're not convinced "Working Man" is one of the best songs you've never heard, let me know.
