I've previously mentioned the work of William Basinski but if you don't recall his disintegrated loops of audio, please go listen to this as it's a great introduction to the concept. If you do recall, please head over to Temporary Residence and check out this massive boxset they are offering. 9 LP's, 5 CD's, a DVD and a book of ambient entropy. This trailer for the offering won't be for everyone but I find it mesmerizing and incredible comforting to listen to... even though it is, essentially, documented decay.
