Hopefully this isn't much of an issue for anyone you know but, regardless, it's interesting to think about. As we move forward it won't be uncommon to have a library of 10,000 books or 100,000 songs that represent our personalities - online and off. But who inherits that collection when you pass? Or, more importantly, is that even an issue? The article in question points out that buying music digitally is really only buying a license for that copy of the song - you don't really own anything. But that's true of CD's as well and there's no issue of passing them around. Could you bequeath your digital goods when you pass? What representation of our digital rights do we actually have?

Long story short, it's probably more interesting to debate on a technical level than to worry about from a practical standpoint.
