The work of
Tristan Eaton is an impressive onslaught of shape and collage. Many of the
pieces take elements from old photography and fill the shapes with familiar text, loud patterns and loads of pop culture references - typically from the time of the original containing photo. It's a ton of visual information to take in at once but it just gives you a lot to pore over.
Even more impressive is that many of the pieces are
murals, hand painted the size of buildings. Spend some time with the
paintings and prints but really spend some time with the murals to really digest the sheer scale of them.
