While I'm absolutely a fan of clean, grid-based, layouts with sparse text I have to admit that my first love will always be works in the vein of Thomas Schostok. The cut-and-paste collage look combining more textures than you can count can easily be done very poorly but, when done well, it's unstoppable in its appeal. Schostok certainly has it down - scrawled text, grime and an air of manic energy to it all. As the man responsible for the infamous BEAST Magazine it's not surprising that he is such a pro at this style but it's nice to know that he's still got it after all these years!
