The Slate (21st Century Pencil)

I seem to recall the Kickstarter project for The Slate, a ring apparatus that attaches to your favorite drawing utility and instantly transcribes it to a digital form. Using a bunch of magnetic sensors they are able to track the movements of the pen or pencil and transcribe that to your computer or app.

They've fully launched the product now and the demo is bonkers. Hard to believe even. It is a commercial so it should be impressive but I'm really blown away by the idea that with a simple add-on you could transfer your doodles into a digital space, even allowing you to modify on the fly. I look forward to more unbelievable future tech making their way into our lives.
