The Protomen

Is it possible for a band to exist solely as a conceptual vision based on the trials and tribulations of Dr. Light vs Dr. Wiley - a story commonly known as Megaman - and still be legitmately good? If you said no, think again. Hear me out - yes, it is a little odd to hear lyrics based on commonly loved video game characters but the fever and presentation of this epic journey comes across as completely honest. If you're feeling hesitant, go to their MySpace page and stream "Unrest in the House of Light" - if you didn't know it was about MegaMan you'd never assume it was.
If you're glazing over this because you think you aren't going to enjoy something that's "video game related" - think again. Try them out.
