Space Truckin' - The Nostromo doesn't sound like the source you'd go to for an exhaustive bit of information on the creation of the ship from
Alien but it's all there. Abandoned sketches, tales of false starts and, best of all, proper insights into why creations from this era of sci-fi seem more real - because they made a conscious effort to have them look beat up and derelict. A decision I can't thank them enough for.
