The Death of Osama bin Laden

Osama was a dick
So, I'd be a bit remiss if I didn't mention the huge news announced late last night regarding the death of Osama bin Laden. The man who spearheaded the 9/11 attacks on America was finally killed after nearly ten years on the run. While I certainly see such a thing as an accomplishment I can't help but think it doesn't actually change anything. Al Qaeda is not a group that operates with one figurehead; they are all independent groupings with their own undertakings. The threat of "Terrorism" does not die with Osama.

So, I don't want to be a Negative Nancy but I am curious what people think of all this. Do you view it as a success? People much smarter than myself had some interesting insights last night, which I've included below: So, I'm not trying to deflate the sails of those celebrating the death of Osama - I just think it's a subject worth thinking about and figuring out what this means for our country and the world at large.

What is it you're looking for?
