Fifty-five years ago today the world lost one of their finest - Albert Einstein. LIFE photographer Ralph Morse was allowed to the document the funeral but the majority of images have been left unpublished until now out of respect to the family. Overall it\'s not the exciting of a photo documentation - seems to be just about like any other funeral proceeding - but the images of Einstein\'s desk and possibly his brain are pretty fascinating.
