I ran across two very different Kickstarters yesterday that could very well be worth your time (and money). Have a look:

• The Heist is a forthcoming film from the same team that created the Oscar winning film The Cove. The video is somewhat vague in terms of what they plan to do with the money but their overall goal is an admirably lofty one; bringing awareness to the thousands of species on the brink of extinction... and getting something done to preserve them.
• Electricity: The Story and Life of Nikola Tesla - everything about this film looks like it is taking itself very seriously; particularly in spreading the good word on the history of Tesla. However, the film itself looks hilarious. Surely that's intentional, right?
