Take Another Look at Tumblr

This Medium piece that urges you to take another look at Tumblr isn't so much a plea to "please revisit our platform" as much as it is an update on the visual tactics used on their latest round of branding tweaks. Often, these kinds of explorations can be a bit boring but I rather enjoyed the insight on how they tweaked the Dinamo typeface Favorit to fit their brand and how they use other platforms (i.e. Instagram) to extend their voice and vibe.
The Tumblr of 2018 isn't quite the same as Tumblr of 2010 or even 2015 but it's nice to read this kind of insight to get an idea of where they're headed.
