Still lots of good things being put up daily over at the Summer Mix Series. I know it's a lot to wade through (some might argue, TOO much) but there is goodness to be had there. I've been really pleased with people submitting themed mixes this year - some of the following are great examples of doing so (though there are many more on the site worth procuring).

• Death and Texas - via Paige this mix is all songs mentioning Texas in some way and she somehow managed to avoid including country music. Bonus!
• Kill Me Softly - via Rachel this mix consists of Sweet Songs About Murder. It's a quieter mix but it's deadly.
• Heat of the Beat - via Brandon this mix is all songs from the Nebraska garage rock scene. I am so happy to see someone embracing a mix theme consisting entirely of local musicians; this should be done more often.
