Turntable Kitchen has a rather ambitious (and very dot-com-y) goal; to pair great music and food through their Pairings Box; a combination of vinyl and cooking ingredients delivered straight to your door.

But they recently launched a Kickstarter campaign that seems a bit more appealing for my own personal taste. The Vinyl Covers Project is a proposed subscription service in which you receive a full-length cover album from a particular artist. Not a compilation of artists covering one song each. Not a 7" featuring one song. An entire record covered start to finish in whatever new style the artist chooses. There's lots of potential there for some interesting pairings and clashing styles. I'm curious to see where it leads.
