So I ran across this video over the weekend that tells the tale of the founding of Portland's Schoolhouse Electric Company - a design shop / store making a huge number of inspiring products. The mentality behind their product development is striving to create quality products that actually stand the test of time and, as they wear, may actually improve their aesthetic. I can't remember the last time I looked at a collection of light bulbs and felt excited. The Home and Office collection contains something compelling in every section - from furniture to stationary to gifts and beyond there is always something present to be desired or be inspired by. Not an easy feat these days...
