Raymond Depardon

French photographer Raymond Depardon was sent on assignment in 1980 to Glasgow, Scotland by the Sunday Times Magazine but his images ended up never being published. Fortunately, they've been compiled into a book and online gallery for all to enjoy.

I've pored over my fair share of photos of New York, Nashville and San Francisco from the same period but never found a good entry point for digging into international waters - particularly Glasgow. It's a great collection of images and, to my ignorant eyes, feels like it could exist in any number of decades. I believe they call that "timeless."
