Rain World

I recently encountered the game Rain World - a dystopian future side scroller where you operate a slug cat through the demolition and remains of the world. I actually read this exhaustive review of it before I'd seen any gameplay and was kind of hooked. The amount of hidden symbols used throughout and references to other similar worlds - Blade Runner, Brazil, Neuromancer, et al. - is impressive. I'm largely curious if those nods were intentional or just a result of personal immersion from the game makers. Regardless, it's worth a look.
