Came across some rather interesting and helpful tools to enable you to more quickly and easily contact your representatives.
- Call Party - a Facebook Messenger app that sends you regular updates on "pro-democracy & progressive issues" alongside scripts and contact info to let your Reps know how you feel. Calling is still the most effective way to get your voice heard, as alien as it feels to us these days. Call Party can help alleviate that discomfort.
- ResistBot - an SMS based bot that receives your text message, gathers some info about you (i.e. zipcode) and then faxes your custom messages directly to your Reps. There's an environmentally wasteful element to the idea of an office flooding with fax paper but probably not moreso than the damage being done to the environment by horrible decision making. Long story short, you can fax a politician while waiting in line.
These tools are helpful, easy, ways to stay motivated and interacting. An open dialog and phone calls are essential to working through the changes we need to hold on to.
