I love the way Tumblr handles their photo sets modals. The huge overlay with previews on the left and right is perfect. So, I was overjoyed to see that Casey took it upon himself to make an open source version named Photumblr. I've used it on a few in-development sites and it works great. I think it's going to be your new standard tool for such things.
