I've known Pete Rodman in some form or another since 1991. We aren't as in touch now as we used to be but, thanks to the power of the Internets, I can catch up on his photojournalist career and follow along with his latest captures. While I appreciate those that pursue photography as a purely artistic endeavor, I think there's something altogether unique about the career of a photojournalist. The images they capture are every bit as artistic and impressive but, one assumes, they're entirely of the moment. Snooze for a moment and you've missed the perfect capture. There's something about that immediacy that really impresses me. Also, you see some crazy stuff.
