Many many thanks to Kate for the heads up on the work of Paulo Ventura. His work consists of some deeply detailed, slightly haunting and absolutely fascinating dioramas. This gallery is a great example of his work from "The Automaton" collection but there's plenty more to see. I'd love to get an idea of the sense of scale of it all but, for now, I'm satisfied knowing someone spends so much time distressing a miniature walking bridge for the sake of art.
