I have a very long list of album releases that I'd love to shed some light on but no hay mal from off to sleep has jumped to the very top of the list.

It'd be oversimplifying to call this "shoegaze" but the tags on Bandcamp give me the perfect descriptor - #gaze adjacent. There are plenty of hushed vocals, quiet-to-loud moments and a production value that speaks to many gaze properties but the whole of the work supercedes the sum of its parts. Largely this is due to the vocal delivery of Justin Ulibarri, often introverted, vulnerable, or dreamy. Inside a sea of giant guitars washing over you, it's a captivating listen. I've had this one on heavy rotation for weeks now and I don't see any signs of stopping.
