Nashville Walls Project

I've noticed quite a few massive murals around Nashville lately and wondered if there was some sort of group or arts commission behind them. Turns out, there is. The Nashville Walls Project is bringing local and international artists to town and having them creative massive pieces on willing buildings. This Guido Van Helten piece is absolutely stunning and unbelievably enormous. There are other quality pieces from Chris Zidek, Nathan Brown and Adele Renault to name a few.
It may not seem like much but cities with enormous pieces of art everywhere definitely carry a different feel. Austin is great about it, Philadelphia is rife with them and I've always loved the ESPO mural in Brooklyn, even if it's going away. Hopefully Nashville can continue to step it up and showcase more art of this size.
