NASA has developed a new camera entitled the "HiDyRS-X" that allows them to record "high speed, high dynamic range footage in multiple exposures simultaneously for use in analyzing rocket engine tests." Basically, it's HD-R for solid rocket engine boosters and the results are awesome. They look unreal, probably because they
are unreal compared to what our eyes can actually see. You can watch the
video test, it's mesmerizing to say the least.
