Layouts in Flipboard is a fascinating mixture of technical implementations and design how-to. Basically, Flipboard was powered by their internal
Flipboard Pages engine and they completely overhauled it into a new, smarter, far more dynamic system called
Duplo. The approach is pretty brilliant and creates over 2000 layouts based on the materials presented (images, amount of text, etc). This is a designer nerd dream. Enjoy.
