Ignorance not only equals bliss but apparently a ginormous stack of cash as well. Betty Bullock was awarded $28 billion (yes, billion) in punitive damages via her case against Philip Morris tobacco. I don't even want to begin to rant on how utterly ridiculous this is. Does anyone remember when billion was a joke number? Like "yea, a billion gazillion trillion!" Billion is incomprehensible. At least she can afford a carton now.
