i hate the muse

Saturday night I unfortunately found myself at the MUSE. If anyone is thinking about booking bands to play in the Nashville area, do not be tricked into thinking the Muse is a decent place to play. The sound is horrible, the venue is not so hot, and the crowd is almost gar-run-teed to the among the most annoying to be experienced.
Despite these hangups about the venue, I did experience a rousing set by Apollo Up and Forget Cassettes. I was also witness to the absolute worst cover of "Coming Down The Moutain" (Janes Addiction) by Dharmakaya.. whose name I even hesitate to mention because I was so embarrased for them by viewing a portion of their site. That's my official word of warning against those guys.. and I would typically not say anything bad about a band because everyone's got their own thing.. but.. c'mon.. these guys.. I just can't put into words how terrible (and hysterical) it was to have to see them.
More Christmas shopping to wrap up and that's my weekend folks. Now you see why I typically don't update on Saturday and Sunday...
