It's a long read but this piece on
How Anna Delvey Tricked New York's Party People is completely fascinating. If (and when) this gets turned into a Netflix series, you'll be hooked. The background of Anna Delvey is still, somewhat, unclear but she was able to fool a lot of people into committing into large investments, free hotel rooms, lots of free
stuff and just generally hoodwinking the NY "elite" with her confidence. There's actual money involved as well, it wasn't all tricks but it's remarkable what she got away with and that she just assumed she'd never get caught.
