Hello Pinboard

tldr: i ditched Delicious for Pinboard and lament waiting this long.

I've been a user of Delicious for many many years. Through their buyout and then their sale and all their aggravating server woes, I stuck with them because they had a ton of my data and I was accustomed to using it. Recently I noticed that their feeds were down and they hadn't posted about it on their blog, their status site or their Twitter. Aggravating as a user to say the least. Irresponsible, neglectful and signs of entropy on their end to say the worst.

So, I finally gave a serious look to Pinboard - a site that has almost 100% the same functionality and 300% more uptime and reliability. However, it costs $11/year, an amount that seemed like enough to drive me away initially. I've come to my senses and am kicking myself for not doing so sooner. It was incredibly easy to import all of my old Delicious bookmarks in a matter of minutes and whatever workflows I had going with Delicious feeds are already working via Pinboard.

Bonus: the Pinboard twitter is caustic and hilarious. I lament waiting so long to ditch Delicious.
