Eight years ago today, Uncle Skeleton released his first album, Pancho Chumley, via my own yk records. It was the very first release for the label so not only is it the birthday of the record, it's a nice launch reminder of the label as well. In those eight years, Uncle Skeleton's sound has greatly matured and changed. I'm sure he'd find it a bit embarrassing to have someone listen to this record now with that in mind but it's still got some great moments. I used to recommend everyone start with the super upbeat songs - "Renfro", "Diskoteq" in particular - but now I'd tell you go with "The Willow Green" or the delightfully melancholy "Chumley Giles."

It's on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, etc. etc. So, listen along wherever is most convenient.

I'm still proud of this record and still extremely indebted to Ross for letting me put it out into the world as a means to start the label. It's a "hobby" but it's a great pleasure to continue working on.
