As the web evolves you start seeing classy uses of technology as more and more people embrace them. At first they start out being used for over-the-top design implementations just because they can be (see: Flash Intros) but slowly they become techniques that evoke something far nicer. Design agency Girlfriend is a great example of Javascript being used in this classy manner. The transitions are quick, subtle and pleasant. The portfolio, while a little long, is a nice browsing experience with the right hand descriptions docking themselves in place while you scroll down. It's all very clean and simple - love it.
