This Fico typeface was specifically designed to be used as a @font-face supplement for providing scalable icons in your websites. While there is a tiny fear of web homogeny by deploying such things you gotta admit it's a lot more convenient to use something like this than it is to use an overloaded image sprite (especially with hover and active states). I don't love all the icons (what's going on with that heart?) but, on the whole, I can see it being quite beneficial - as both a developer and a user. It does cost about $25 so I can understand some hesitation but, in the long run, I think it'll be a time saver that makes it worth it.

Update: I assumed there would be a free alternative version of this somewhere - there is.
