I encountered the work of Eddie Love the other week over at the Fort Houston gallery. The online versions of his pieces give a proper sense of the color palette and overall chaos but it undermines the scale of the work, which really is what makes it engaging. There's plenty of Basquiat style influences here but I'm a fan of wearing your influences on your sleeve.
