Dave Paulson: Sandusky, Ohio

You may not know the name Dave Paulson but if you've been following this site for any amount of time you've likely encountered some of his works. He was a principal member of the band The Privates - featured in both the Lake Fever Sessions I worked on and the eponymous short film I mentioned awhile back - and he occasionally releases music as NORM. He's an excellent musician with an absurd handle on wrangling influences from 60's and 70's rock to 8-bit chiptune to dance-y pop songs all into one.
He recently launched a new project entitled Sandusky that will give him the wiggle room to write songs about something other than his own autobiographical experiences. That's it, it's a concept album. Based on the introductory video, it seems that he's drawn inspiration from a fat man in a little coat - if you get that reference, you should be intrigued at how one would write a worthwhile concept album around it.
He's certainly got the chops to pull off the project and is going the PledgeMusic route to help him do it the right way (studios, additional players, etc). So, if you're curious, have a look at his campaign and consider backing him. It's a wise idea.
