The newly relaunched .com version of Coolfer has an article about how Sony is attempting to pact with McDonalds for their upcoming download service. Add that to the new Starbucks service, the inevitable service from Virgin Records, iTunes, Napster, and the insane slew of other services and you're left with a ton of choices that really don't do anything for the consumer. It seems to me that when illegal peer-to-peer downloading was at it's height in the media there was one service that people pointed the finger at (Napster), and then it was Kazaa (still is). Frequently you'd see "other services" mentioned, but the majority of downloaders want one service, just one. Why can't these companies come together and make the most badass service possible?
