Chad Wys

The work of Chad Wys tends to fuse a lot of classic works of art with contemporary splashes of color and modern art destructive techniques. His Arrangement in Skintones series reduces images to oblique patterns and his Legato series create a simple color palette from an obscured image but it's his Works on Paper that really drew me in. The Romaniticism busts fused with paint daubs and color scratches is can be quite minimal but there's an allure that's hard for me to resist.
