C Mikesell shared this little gem with me yesterday and I still haven't really wrapped my brain around how remaking Short Circuit is even vaguely possible. Hollywood seems to be taking 80's Nostalgia to the extreme and just remaking / rehashing / reinventing anything that was mildly popular with the kid generation of that time and cashing in on the fact that they are now late 20's - early 30 somethings with money to burn. Even Alien vs. Predator 2 has more wide appeal than a remake of Short Circuit. Where can you even take that concept? Why is this being done? I'm so confused...

In other news, it looks like Christian Bale is set to play a grown up John Connor in the next installment of the Terminator franchise. Weird.
