Michael Eisen discovered a very bizarre Amazon listing - a $2 million book about flies. The 1992 out of print book is a standard in the world of fruit fly research but certainly not worth such a mighty sum. Eisen's discovery is that the used copies of the books were pitted against each other via an automated algorithm that pushed them well beyond the limits of sensibility.
