I should probably be saving this for Friday entertainment but Awkward Stock Video is too ridiculous not to share right away. The tumblog is a simple repository of, you guessed it, awkward stock videos. They range from the baffling to the truly creepy to best thing ever. Hopefully new stuff is continually added but even if it stops at the limited amount that's up there now, I'd be fully amused.

I had a helluva week up in NY with my new pals at VHX but, unfortunately, didn't have a ton of time to browse. So, this weeks playlist, while solid, may be a little on the light side. Let's get to it.

• First Hot Dog in Outer Space - Do yourself a favor, jump 48 seconds in and just enjoy the lift off and epic journey of meat in space.
• Lena Dunham, Jon Hamm and Alex Karpovsky Introduce the New Yorker iPhone App - it's not that funny but I find myself enjoying anything with Alex Karpovsky.
• 1981 Gymnastic Antics - I've seen this clip before but given that we're all overwhelmed with 2012 footage it's a nice revisit. I wish to see more of this sort of thing these days please.
• Internet Scam Alert: Most "Kickstarter" Projects Just Useless Crap - thank you Onion News Network. Nailed it.
• Meat Orgy on Turkish TV - this starts off very slow and quite weird. Then, a little over a minute in, it proceeds to get very VERY weird. What is happening here? I don't know and I'm fairly sure I don't want to.

• PSY - Gangham Style - I was going to suggest you mute the music and just enjoy the ridiculousness of this video but then you'd miss out on this Korean rapper saying what sounds like "Condom Star" over and over. Every shot in this video could be its own perfectly amusing animated gif.
• Excited Train Guy - I love the unbridled, legitimate, enthusiasm this guy has for this train. Unreal.
• Slim Chance Surplus Sales - intentionally awkward local commercial done with a Hee-Haw sense of humor. Approved.
• Green Linez - Hibiscus Pacific - I saw this last week and was tempted to share. I didn't and I regret it. This bizarre video has haunted me for a week. So weird, in the best way.
• Stewart Lee - Rap Singers - endurance challenge. How far do you make it into this hour clip?
• Moonwalking Nyan Cat - rarely do I see such greatness.

It's no secret that I've been smitten with VHX for a long time. Friday Videos have been VHX Powered since last September, I browse the social side of the site every day, and I even helped them launch the Aziz Ansari site.

It's that time again! Friday Videos! I dunno what it is about this week's selections but I'm rather proud of the them. The Internet really delivered in the Weird + Funny department the last seven days. Let's all give ourselves a collective pat on the back.

• Pinkle Tank - Get Tankled Promo - I don't know what a Pinkle Tank is and I don't know what "Getting Tankled" is but they both sound highly inappropriate for a kids band. Either way, they've been added to my vocabulary for everyday usage. Thanks Paul.
• Skull Trumpet Remix - almost as good as the original and that's saying a lot.
• Canine Fireman's Carry - in Russia, dog carries cat!
• Ralphisms - granted, this compilation of Ralph Wiggum phrases isn't new to the Interweb (posted back in 2010) but it's one of those videos you should never tire of watching. There's a dog in the vent!
• ORCumentary - BLOOD - If someone told me to head to the nearest Hot Topic to see a one-man keyboard sludgecore band perform I wouldn't expect something this great.
• Mitt Romney, A Hero In My Mind - Mitt Romney needs original music for the campaign trail, this is one man's contribution. It doesn't get super awesome until he starts singing. Something about it feels familiar.
• Adventure Time Tribute - I've never seen a single episode of Adventure Time but I love this style and overall vibe so much I'm sharing it anyway.
• Bees in the Mosh Pit - I don't want any explanation why this exists. Just enjoy.

• Jump Fail (Recorder Version) - It's official, this is the greatest soundtrack to anything but especially people falling over. Thank you Paul.
• Michael Bolton and Kenny G Shred - I never tire of these "Shreds" videos. Always amusing. Thank you Keith.
• Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee Trailer - the first episode of this is now available to watch online. It's just Jerry Seinfeld and another comedian having a chat - not a groundbreaking format but a tried and true one. It's great.
• Sullivan and Marks Graphics Demo Reel - 1978 - I love looking at these vintage bumpers and marveling at the fact that they were done without After Effects or Final Cut or, really, any computer assistance whatsoever.
• Parking Woman Celebrated By Drunk Fans - I can imagine this being the worst experience in the world if you were the driver but, as a bystander, it's kinda funny. Especially the whistle.
• Men Throwing Rocks With The Other Hand - try this out over the weekend. I guarantee you look just as ridiculous.
• 8-Bit "Deal With It" Cat - I really wish this didn't have the dumb bumper at the start and end (so it was more Nyan-esque) but the animation is quite amusing. If you like psychedelic 8-bit cat animations, that is.
• Mr Wizard Is A Dick - I did not watch Mr. Wizard as a kid but it really seems like he did not care for children or for having a television show.
• The Evolution of PC Games - music and video comprised entirely of elements from old games. In my opinion, the older the game, the better. By 1:30 you've left the Golden Era but it's still entertaining.
• Michael - I don't want to know anything else about this except that it exists and that I can watch it a hundred times today.

• It Ain't Easy Being a Reporter - I know I've seen each of these clips on their own as they made their individual internet rounds but I am beyond pleased to see them all together in this perfect compilation.

• A Conversation with my 12 Year Old Self - in 1992, Jeremiah McDonald recorded a conversation with his future self . Now, in 2012, he responds. Conceptually this is great but I wanted more ridiculous footage of his younger self. Maybe there will be more of these in the forthcoming years.
• MTV Night Videos 2012 - so many amazing MTV bumpers from Kungen & Hertigen. Love it.
• Hot Weather in Richmond - what a kooky weatherman!
• Fireworks Fail Compilation - yes, San Diego won July 4th but it's always good to have a reminder that playing with fireworks can lead to looking like an idiot (And possible severe facial burns). Stay careful.

• Picard's Best Line - short, sweet and to the point.
• Russian Death-Cam Supercut - those insane Russian dash cam videos are great but always about 40x too long. This solves that problem.
• A1 Concepts: Let's Pizza - is this an actual video showcasing a Pizza Kiosk or a Hilariously Dry Parody video? I honestly can't tell.
• Conan at Weiner Circle - Jack McBrayer vs Hostile Staff + Triumph The Comic Dog. Probably old news to you by now but I loved it.

• Vertical Video Syndrome PSA - kind of a dumb / silly / ridiculous little video about not paying attention when you shoot video. Pay attention when you shoot video.
• From Love to Bingo via Getty Images - yea, it's an ad campaign for Getty Images but it's an effective one.
• The Soup - "Prometheus" - a pitch perfect parody of the David Viral video.

• Bill's Rules - speaking of Bill Murray. Did you know that 1982 Era Murray can compare directly (1:1 ratio) with Dr. Steve Brule. Sure, the accents are different but the intentions are the same.
• Kreayshawn - Breakfast (Syrup) - I honestly can not tell if this is an honest musical undertaking or a parody video. Viral video for Miss Butterworth's? Jokes on us? Please?
• Cat Walking Down Fridge - because a quality Friday Video playlist features a cat doing something crazy.
• Krispy Kreme - Best Friends - here's the thing. I've seen other videos from this teenage rap duo but it never really hit home how endearing it was until "Best Friends" dropped. I get it now. It rides that fine line between "Should I laugh at this?" and "I legitimately love this for its earnestness." It's engaging in the strangest way. Watch the whole thing because the callout at the end is amazing.
• The Dark Knight a la Hitchcock - what happens when you take the first five minutes of The Dark Knight and put the opening score from Hitchcocks Vertigo over top? Turns out you get a surprisingly excellent mashup of audio and video. Can we start the rumor that this was done intentionally? It would fit well with plenty of other theories.

• Tommypom's Magic Box: Episode 2 - I don't know what it is and I don't require a further explanation. It's just perfectly amusing.

Since I'm out in California having a bit of a mini-vacation, the playlist will be a bit short this go around. Quality over quantity, right? Lets hope so:

• Memory Bank - this is, apparently, almost two years old but entirely new to me. Some sort of bumper for an MTV program I've never heard of. Frankly, I just love the look of it and could watch a good 10 more hours in this style.
• Life Advice from Twitter - I missed the boat the first time around when Ze Frank made his mark on the Interwebs but I'm really enjoying following along properly this time.
• Nick Waterhouse - "Some Place" - I've seen the vinyl and the live versions of this track but it's nice to see the legit official video. Looking forward to that album big time.
• Cyriak - Because - it's always good to watch a Cyriak video just to remind yourself that your nightmares could be way worse.
• Cat Puke Compilation - against my better judgment I share with you this fine compilation of cats puking up hairballs set to Deadmau5. There's actually very little vomitting on screen but the anticipation is totally killer.

• Speakeasy with Paul F Thompkins - new original content series from Made Man featuring Paul F Thompkins drinking with his funny friends. How this ended up on some bizarro Maxim-esque site I will never know but I'll still happily watch the episodes.
• Iron Man Cosplay - let your inner nerd fill with awe watching this kids ridiculously articulated Iron Man outfit. Viral video for The Avengers or legit super fan?
• Chicken Beatboxing - you assume this will end in abject failure but it's actually a glowing success.
• Giorgio Moroder - Baby Blue (Maru Cat) - two things have never come together so perfectly.

• Crown Crust Burger from Pizza Hut - Pizza Hut's new "Royal Masterpiece." This is one of those horrible concoctions that gets us one step closer to Idiocracy's version of Fuddruckers.
• 2 Days of Automatic Cat Feeder - why this cat is going bonkers against the auto cat feeder is beyond me but I was crying laughing while watching him do so. I totally lost it during the cat fight at the end.
• Gaz Coombes - Hot Fruit - from the forthcoming new Gaz solo record. The video is pretty crazy but the song is something I think everyone will enjoy.
• The Avengers 1978 Movie Promo - remember when The Avengers came out in 1978? Yea, it was just like this. Complete with KISS, Paul Lynde and the most hysterical looking Iron Man. Seriously.
• Go Right - classical music set to a load of videogame characters doing what they do best; running right. via Mikesell.
• Pbtfbthbpbpthbp - the video description reads "We had access to a slow motion camera for an hour, wanted to put it to good use." Well done guys.
• Kung Fu Farting - easily the most infantile thing I've ever posted on a Friday Video compilation and, possibly, the entirety of yewknee's history.

• Henri 2, Paw de Deux - life is a weight that Henri can hardly handle.

• Green Khil Zone - this is too weird to even attempt to describe. Also, completely mesmerizing. Thank you Josh.

• Dancing on the Moon - yea, it's an Intel ad but because it's Japanese it's too weird for words.

• Project Glass: With Ads - this seems like the most realistic parody I've seen of the ole Google Glasses project yet.
• Blowing a CD Bubble - yea, this is a weird video.. slow pacing, weird narration and assumed results but wait - the outcome is not what you expect. Crazy.
• The Devil's Apricot - a 3 minute mockumentary clip on record producer Damon Lewis, Satan's right hand man. I laughed aloud multiple times on multiple viewings. via Paul.
• Zeus - Are You Gonna Waste My Time? - not only is this album great but this video is a fun throwback to when videos were an insane art project undertaking. Food marionette puppets? Confused dogs? Sure, why not?!
• Don't Be That Awkward Runner - when I saw "The Flightless Bird" I knew I had to share. It's probably best to shut it off after the introduction of the styles.
• When Drunk People Dance - I think I could watch this all day. via Chris.
• Juggalo Ryda Song Number 29 - I'm all for not mocking Juggalos but this video caught me so off guard with the level of surprises it contained I couldn't look away.
• I Will Feast On Your Soul - what's going to happen here? Will there be some unexpected change? Are you able to look away from this dog's intense soul stabbing stare?
