Feels good to be back to normal. Enjoy your
playlist.
There are other
entertaining videos making the rounds but I didn't want to over clutter. Dive in and have a great weekend.

I've been out of town all week and done almost zero browsing - so I have no bevy of videos to share! However, this
video about nothing should be a nice, appropriate, placeholder. It's a long one but I suggest sticking with it for the duration as it gets a bit weirder as you go along.
Back to normality next week! Hope all is well.

I can happily say that I'm pleased with this weeks
playlist - a nice variety of weird, hilarious and just regular ole enjoyable videos. As it should be.
If you still need more, watch this brilliant
David Attenborough narrating curling.. it's as Dry as British humor can get but it's pretty perfect.

It's Valentine's Day! But I don't really have much of a thematic collection for
this week. Hopefully the distraction itself will prove to be enough:
- Stepping on M83 - I'm sure I've seen this before but I think we could all stand to watch it again a few times.
- Movie Title Breakup - this conversation is comprised entirely of movie titles. At first I was rolling my eyes at the concept but a solid ten seconds later I could not believe how rapid fire it was happening. Sure, some of the back and forth is a bit rigid but it's an impressive accomplishment.
- AT-AT Sochi - I can't help it. I'm a sucker for a good laser blast.
- Facebook Fraud - not a funny video but, rather, an educational one. It's 9 minutes, which is entirely too long for all of our collective attention spans, but it goes through an educational walkthrough of why buying Facebook likes - properly or improperly - is really a rather bad idea. I found it quite interesting.
- Ken Burns - Past is Present - this ends up being an ad for a new Ken Burns app but I love the first portion of it that speaks to the ongoing repetitious cycle of history. Can't get enough of that.
- Fatal Farm Robocop Remake - this is very NSFW and maybe even NSFL but given that it's Valentine's Day, you should probably watch it.
Have a great weekend!

February already! I've officially gone once more around the sun - that's 35 years under the belt. No complaints. I've had a great week and hope you have as well. Enjoy
the playlist - got some things stirring for this month!
Need more entertainment? Just
stare at this for an hour or
enjoy this.
Have a great weekend!

I can not believe tomorrow starts February. I think you're all witnessing my descent into complete time suck madness. Or maybe I'm just busy in a good way. Either way, you're witnessing it. Enjoy this
playlist!
- Bonkers - I had entirely forgotten about these commercials until Chad reminded me of it. That giant fruit smash is still funny.
- The Shining minus Delbert Grady - by the same guy who brought you Fight Club Minus Tyler Durden comes another super creepy installment of psycho's talking to themselves.
- YouTube Secret Modes - the video is kind of painful to watch but learning about some secret Youtube modes is worth it.
- Mailman Battles Cat - I don't care if this is ripped straight from America's Funniest Home Videos, animals antagonizing mailmen is solid humor.
- 12 O'Clock Boys Music Video - 12 O'Clock Boys was released today, a documentary on the dirt bike gangs of Baltimore and this music video is all Go Pro footage taken from their antics. It's a nice 3 minute reminder that you should see the film.
- Peter Weller Reacts to Robocop Remake - you'd think the guy that played the original Robocop and the creepy villain from a season of Dexter might not be able to wax eloquent about the power of storytelling and the unfortunate rise of special effects over character development but you'd be wrong. This is so full of amazing insights and quotes that you really can't miss it. Watch it twice.
- Contemporary Dance Moves with Contemporary Eric - this is absolutely ridiculous but I couldn't help myself from enjoying the various moves. I couldn't help it! via.
Have a great weekend! Go enjoy that
Jasmin Kaset record!

Seriously, as you get older do the weeks accelerate? Where is the time going?? Another week, another
playlist to be enjoyed.
- 1001 Movies You Must See (Before You Die) - amazing animation for a, presumably, forthcoming feature. Can you name all the movies shown?
- Fight Club minus Tyler Durden - a glimpse at Fight Club as it happened in reality. Pretty strange but I suppose that's the whole point, huh?
- The Trip to Italy - I loved The Trip and am happy to see there is a sequel. This Michael Caine joke is a bit of recycling but it's not so overdone that I'm not entirely amused by it.
- Cat Thinks Music Makes Peas - I don't care how old this clip is, it's new to me and I was in tears watching this little guys fierce reaction.
- Musicless Virtual Insanity - I actually want to see the entire video done in this style because I think it would really test your willpower. This 1 minute clip is just weird enough to be a good time.
- French Bulldog Plays With His Pups - yea, another animal clip, so what? This guy is downright adorable. Look at that playtime!
- More NFL Bad Lip Reading - for whatever reason, I'm still entertained by these.
- Press Start - what's that? 3 hours of every NES video game intro screen? Yes, I'll take it.
If you didn't see the recut
Her trailer with Phillip Seymour Hoffman or this
Rabbit Stampede please partake now.
Oh, and watch this
Jasmin Kaset preview video! Album releases next week.

The
playlist is a bit short this week because I've been hustling on some big projects at work and my browse time is low. That being said, I think you'll be entertained.
Don't forget -
Codaphonic plays their record release show tomorrow night at The 5 Spot. If you're in the Nashville area, don't miss it.
- Big Black Delta - Huggin & Kissin - brand new official video for a great track from the Big Black Delta album. The general style reminds me of old MTV Liquid Television / Aeon Flux - not a bad thing at all.
- Friendzone - an intense, nostalgic, compilation of 80's clips. This is nothing new in terms of concept but the execution is pretty phenomenal.
- Cat Creeper - I feel like I've seen this before but it's kind of unbelievably great.
- Codaphonic - Oh Radio - that's right, another reminder that these EP's exist. I know I'm at the verge of annoying with these reminders but it's a damn fine release worth giving a proper listen (or three).
- Codaphonic - Mindwrecker - same as above.
Also be sure to watch this
They Came Together trailer and this ridiculous report on the
Coors Light Bullet Train Party disaster.
Have a great weekend!

It's been a few weeks but it's time to get back to compiling some distracting videos! Here's your
playlist. If you encounter anything throughout your week that you feel needs sharing on this list, please let me know.
- GIFs with Sound - you've seen these compilations before but they never grow old. This particular set really knocks it out of the park at the end.
- Slurpee Dance - I've been around the Internet Block enough to not be impressed by silly pandering dance commercials but they managed to nail that "something feels wrong" vibe just right.
- Baby Shocked By Tower Topple - I'm biased because this adorable baby is the offspring of Paige and Kevin but I stand by the cute overload factor of this video despite that, not because of it.
- BABYMETAL DokiDoki - I have this strange feeling that other countries are really on top of their game way more than the US when it comes to inventing new, bizarre, genre mashups.
- WES - I realize this is low hanging fruit but Wes Anderson slow-mo shots paired with early Shins is not something I can avoid enjoying.
- Sloth Enjoys Carrots, Being Sloth - let us all aspire to this level of relaxation in our daily lives.
- Best News Bloopers 2013 - take 15 minutes and watch these flubs. I shouldn't enjoy it as much as I do but I love it.
Need more? How about a
Behind the Scenes from that crazy
Bored Game commercial? Or those Codaphonic previews for
Mindwrecker and
Oh Radio!? Maybe the
Hurrycane is more your speed? Hopefully that keeps you satisfied.
Have a great weekend!

It's Friday! This is
possibly the final Friday Videos of the year and
maybe the final yewknee post of 2013. Only time will tell. Here's your
playlist. Enjoy!
- Beyonce: Grown Woman Teaser did you hear all the hub-bub about Beyonce releasing a new album, unannounced, on iTunes and that it comes with an accompanying "Visual" album? I'm not even a big Beyonce fan but all the media that accompanies this is really bonkers. This 30 second teaser is sure to blow your mind in some small way.
- Cat Attacks Woman - listen, I understand you don't want a stray cat attacking your little dog but if you harass an animal too much, you will have hell to pay. This is an amazing watch.
- Show Your Work! Book Trailer - Austin Kleon has a new book on the horizon, this is the trailer. Get excited.
- Bored Game - I posted this earlier in the week but it's too good not to make sure you saw it. Crank the nostalgia meter up as high as it will go.
- Dawn of the Planet of the Apes - the first trailer for the Planet of the Apes sequel looks great. I enjoyed the first one and am happy to see them continue the trend. This is likely all I will watch for this movie because I know I'm going to see it!
- Holiday Emergency (Christmas Vacation Remix) - how long as it been since you've had some autotune in your life? Probably too long. Enjoy this tribute to one of this seasons finest films.
- XTC - Thanks for Christmas - A Christmas song from one of the finer pop bands around.
I hope that distracts you properly on this fine Friday. Have a great day, a better weekend and a phenomenal Christmas week. We'll talk soon.

So much going on at work - launching
teasers and
pre-orders and plenty of other things. I really should talk more about that, huh? Regardless, here's your
playlist and the standard breakdown!
- Trap Ostrich - not gonna lie, this is probably the most surprisingly entertaining video I've seen in some time. I can not explain it and do not want it explained.
- Zero Theorem Trailer - I did not know Terry Gilliam had another film on the horizon and I really didn't know it was a thematic third piece of his Brazil, 12 Monkeys trilogy. Looks Gilliam Good.
- Jim Guthrie - Difference a Day Makes - a stylistically compelling video from Jim Guthrie's latest album, Takes Time. Love the vibe of the whole thing.
- Vita Brevis - remember those somewhat creepy GIF animations? Yea, they are full on videos with sound now.
- Stop and Kiss Program - it took a minute for this Onion report to kick in but I enjoyed it once the testimonials came into play.
Have a great weekend!

I'm heading out early today to go back to Nashville for the first time in a few months and I couldn't be more excited for it. Happy to see friends and family (and overeat like a true Thanksgiving glutton). If you wanna hang out, hit me up. In the meantime, enjoy
the playlist.
I was tempted to post this
Stabilized Zapruder Footage because today is the anniversary of the JFK assassination but watching it actually turns my stomach and I can't really endorse viewing it, except that it is
technically interesting to see the footage in a new way.
I also watched this
Everything Wrong with Back to the Future and it infuriated my nerd brain so hard that I think I broke something.
There's plenty of
stuff to see out there but hopefully I provided a decent distraction from your Friday workday.
Have a great weekend.

Not gonna lie, this week's
playlist is paltry. I could have added this
Uncle Skeleton video or this
Wes Anderson short or this
Coin promo or this
Keezy promo or this
amazing short but I didn't want to force that repetition on you! That's to say, I'm covering my guilt for not having a fully fleshed out playlist by reminding you that I give you good content all week. Hopefully that covers me!
Have a great weekend!

Had a phenomenal party last night at the
VHX office... so I'm dragging a bit today. That being said, here's the
playlist... I hope it provides some much needed distraction.
- The Rip-Hoff - typically I do not love these kind of theme song slice ups but this one actually manages to tell a story and gets particularly absurd near the end. Approved.
- A Brief History of Video Game Title Design - I mostly loved the first minute of this for all its 8-bit nostalgia but it's really quite impressive to see just how close contemporary video games come to movies - there's almost zero difference.
- Calvin and Hobbes Dance - Animator Adam Brown took it upon himself to put a little motion behind Calvin and Hobbes as an homage. It turned out quite sweet. Oh, and great music from ProleteR.
- Arcade Fire - "Afterlife" Live - Gerta Gerwig is just the right balance of awkward and endearing in this performance, directed by Spike Jonze, from the Youtube Awards. Now I really have to see Frances Ha.
- Breaking News App - I somehow missed this promo piece from Sandwich Video until this week. The story behind it is great.
- Martial Arts Fails - because sometimes there's nothing more pleasurable than watching a proper FAIL compilation.
Have a great weekend! Get some rest! I know I will.

Halloween is right around the corner so next weeks playlist will probably come a bit early.. or maybe it'll be doubled up. Who knows what will happen! Regardless, here's this weeks
distraction with a promise of plenty more on the way.
More distractions
here.. Oh, and I recommend that
Arcade Fire preview because, well, why wouldn't you?
Have a great weekend!

Another week, another weekend. It's barely noon and I've lost all focus already. I think that means I'm going to have a great weekend and I'm rather looking forward to it. Here's your
distraction playlist so you can join me.
- The Paper Kites: Young - absolutely brilliant music video. 350+ people and 4000+ photos throughout. Really engaging piece of work.
- Home Video Commentaries - two brothers making fun of themselves at an early age. Stick with it for a solid minute, the observation at almost exactly 1:00 is really when it picks up.
- Pig with Sunglasses - need I say more?
- Count Drizzle - every year, a new Count Drizzle song drops around Halloween. This isn't the latest but it will familiarize you with the general aesthetic. Don't miss last years more elaborate affair - Country Crunk. I'm looking forward to the 2013 offering..
- Snow Dog - I saw this on the Deep Into Youtube forums and couldn't look away. It's awful but that's exactly what keeps you glued in.
Have a great weekend! Listen to some
Shaboi and find a way to relieve yourself of the Internet.
