The Perfect Five

The Internet is overwhelming, that's a fact. There's a constant onslaught of new (or recycled) information available to everyone at all times. This notion coupled with the concept of an mp3 blog - like, say, Altered Zones - creates such a mess of information that it's impossible to properly take things in. How can you filter through 20 new bands a day, every day? It's too much!

Which is why I absolutely love the concept behind The Perfect Five - a site that features five new songs a week in the categories of Hyped, Covered, Classic, Remixed and Loved. Five songs feels like a much more digestible amount and actually gives you a moment to take in the music rather than immediately moving on to whatever the next post might be. It's been bookmarked and I'll be revisiting it again... at least once a week.
