Outlook 2010

According to FixOutlook.org and Campaign Monitor the next version of Microsoft's Outlook will use Word to render HTML emails - a notion that will effectively stall web standards reaching email. Part of me thinks this whole thing could be a clever marketing ploy by Microsoft to raise awareness of their upcoming software (after all it is still in beta) but then I remember that it's Microsoft and they probably really are ignorant to the notion that Word is a horrible choice for HTML support.
